COLT TO COWHORSE PROGRAM
WHAT IT IS?
The Colt to Cowhorse program is designed to offer owner/breeders the opportunity to earn winnings doing the basic groundwork and training we all have to do with our colts. This program will reward horsemanship and good ground technique in the handler and good breeding/temperment in the colt/filly. This program focuses on everything a horse should know before riding begins.
HOW TO GET STARTED?
- This competition is for colts/fillies under 2 years
- No breed requirements
- Beginner thru advanced encouraged to come show
- 2 seperate classes
Class #1 -Lead, Stop, Back, Desensitize with Rope or Sack, Flex, Pick up Feet, Ears, Give to Pressure Class #2 - Drive or Longe, Cross Bridge, Cross Tarp, Walk thru Curtain, Load into Trailer, Ground Tie, Saddle, Hobble, Round Pen, Stop on Command, Walk to Handler, Back on Command, Sidepass to Handler.Click on Event Criteria to see more details.
